Much of the teaching staff has been with Little Sun People for well over 10 years!

Our director, teachers, administrative staff, parents and extended family at Little Sun People are all affectionately addressed as Mama (for women) and Baba (for men), which precedes each person's first name, i.e. Mama Fela, Baba Fanzy. This cultivates a familial atmosphere and the sense of being a part of Little Sun People's "village." An old African proverb says that sticks in a bundle are unbreakable, so like our ancestors and many living in Africa today, this practice reminds us that we are a community working together to teach and raise our children.
